Armed to the teeth

DEFINITION

Fully outfitted with weapons or the tools needed for a battle. It can also imply, besides weapons, as having enough documentation or investigative data to prepare for a debate or court case.¬† ‘Armed’ references arms as in guns and such and so to be armed to the teeth is to have a great variety of killing implements. It might be of value during a zombie apocalypse. Rambo, for example, always appears to be armed to the teeth, he even clutches a knife in his teeth! (Compare to Itching for a fight.)
