DEFINITION

Your turn. Sharing responsibility. One has finished their part of a chore or decision and now passes it on to you to finish or respond. Reference is to a basketball court, half of which is one teams and the other half the opponents, so if a ball is in your court, it is up to your team to take a shot to win.

“I’ve offered what we will pay you, will you accept or not? the ball is in your court.”
