End of one’s rope

DEFINITION

Limit of one’s patience. The end of one’s rope as in nothing more to hold onto.  (Compare to Drive one crazy, Flip-out, Freak-out or Over the edge.)

 “Now that I have two small children, I am always cleaning, feeding or bathing them. Now, my sister sister asked me to watch her 3 small children for a week. I can’t take all the chores, I am at the end of my rope”.
