Gang up

DEFINITION

A group offense. Several people (a gang) mount an attack on someone else. Typically, used when several friends gang  up on another to stop them from acting foolish; or when a group of co-workers gang up on another to prevent harm to others.

 “When I started an argument with her, all her friends ganged up on me.”
