DEFINITION

Loiter. Socialize with others. ‘Hang’ suggests no agenda, no time limit. Often used to imply someone is rubbing elbows with others you do not approve of, such as when parents don’t like some of  your friends. (Compare to Hang-out)

“I asked the new girl at school if she wanted to hang around with us tonight.”
