Hop to it

DEFINITION

Get started. A  rather cheerful command to start a project. Hop as in a rabbit running, but not as demanding a command as might be a threat. (Compare to Get the lead out or Get one’s butt in gear.)

“OK if you are going to shovel the snow off my sidewalk, you better hop to it.”
