Inside voice

A.) One’s conscience. What one’s moral compass speaks inside your head. “My inside voice reminds me to tell her I love her.”

B.) Speaking quietly in a public place. ‘Inside’ refers to when someone is in a small room where you need not shout as opposed to being outside in a noisy environment. “My  neighbor has to remind her small child to use his inside voice when speaking at the dinner table, otherwise he’s very loud.”
