Mad as a wet hen

DEFINITION

Frenzied. Angry and irritated. If you’ve been around poultry, they do NOT like getting wet, and if they are sprayed with water, they run around yelling. (Compare to a Mad as a hornet or Hen with itsĀ  head cut off.) {See 50 Levels of Anger video}
