No pain, no gain

DEFINITION

Intensive exercise is necessary to gain a healthy body. The pain comes from exercise and without it, there is no gain in physical or mental improvement. Although the term is often used for physical fitness it can be applied to other facets of improvement.

“The coach makes us run 2 kilometers before the end of practice and he says if there’s no pain, no gain.”
