Ornery

DEFINITION

Stubborn. Obstinate. Inflexible. Difficult. Uncontrollable. Speaking the word out loud exposes the essence of the meaning which is cumbersome and deep throated just like someone who will never, under no circumstances change their ways. (compare to Hard-head or  Brick wall.)

“I try to get my dad to vote each year, but he so ornery about it and says it is not worthwhile.”
