DEFINITION

Defend oneself against complaints . Demand for action instead of threats. ‘Put up’ suggests payment such as proving yourself and ‘shut up’ means if you do not pay, stop complaining about it.

“You keep saying I can’t do it, so, Ok if you want me to jump across that cliff, put up or shut up.”
