Accept a bad situation. ‘Put up’ often refers to canning fruit or vegetables for long term storage, so to put up with a situation is to  persevere in spite of a bad situation.

“It is very noisy living in an apartment over a dance hall, but the rent price is very low so I have learned to put up with it.”
