Send someone packing

Eject. Force to leave. ‘Packing’ implies that one has packed up their belongings and is leaving, so to send someone packing is to urge or force them to end their activities. (Compare to Kick out or Show one the door.)

“That salesman is so persistent, I finally got mad and sent him packing.”
