DEFINITION

Force one to accept. Not a physical action but nonetheless a forceful attempt to make someone say or do something against their will. Imagine trying to get a pill down the throat of  your pet! (Compare to Force ones hand or Hold a gun to  ones head.)

“No one wanted to go into the old house to clean it, but the boss shoved it down my throat and I had to do the dirty work.”
