Sour grapes

Unhappy with the results. Sore loser. A bad feeling from a past event.  Typically ‘sour grapes’ reflect someone who lost a competition, such as in sports, politics or business, and they bad-mouth their opponent and/or may even try to undermine their success.

“Just because I didn’t invite her to my party, she won’t acknowledge my presence. It’s just sour grapes.”
