Spaced-out

DEFINITION

Stoned. Distracted. Daydreaming. Being spaced-out presumes your mind is elsewhere, like staring out the window during a boring school class. It can also propose a constant state of being unaware of what is happening around you. (Compare to What have you been smoking? or Airhead or Three sheets to the wind.)

“I had to let that young guy go, he couldn’t focus on the job, he always seemed spaced-out.”
