Positive outcome. Good results after a challenging endeavor. Everyone being discussed had a wonderful life after a specific situation was over. Typically used for fairy-tale story endings : ‘everyone lived happy ever-after’. (Compare to Castles in the sky, Garden Path or Fairy tale ending.)
